AC Milan are the comeback kids under Sergio Conceicao, continuing the trend by coming from behind to beat Como 2-1 last night.
The home side took the lead in the second half when Assane Diao fired past Mike Maignan with a low shot, but that then seemed to spur Milan into life, who levelled through Theo Hernandez’s record-breaking goal.
Five minutes after the equaliser, Rafael Leao latched onto a perfect through ball from Tammy Abraham, lifting the ball over the onrushing goalkeeper for the winning goal.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the overall performance of the team and Conceicao’s management of the game, which earned a 6 out of 10.
Rafael Leao was the man of the match given his hand in the winning goal and being the main threat generally, scoring a 7, while Ismael Bennacer struggled in the 45 minutes he got and was graded a 5.
The other players who didn’t have much of an impact with Christian Pulisic and Alvaro Morata – both taken off with physical issues – and Tijjani Reijnders, with the trio getting a score of 5.5.
A passing grade went to Emerson Royal, Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw and Youssouf Fofana plus the substitutes Yunus Musah and Alex Jimenez.
Mike Maignan, Theo Hernandez and Tammy Abraham were the only players to score above a 6 in addition to Leao, which says a lot about the performance level.
