‘Gives You Butterflies’ – Birmingham City Star Makes Wembley Admission | OneFootball

Birmingham City star Lyndon Dykes has stressed that thinking about playing at Wembley gives him butterflies and hopes Blues will be able to create history there.

Blues are currently aiming for automatic promotion back to the Championship next season and are performing amazingly in League One.

On Tuesday night, they defeated Bradford City in the semi-finals of the EFL Trophy to make a place for themselves in the final of the competition.

The Scotland hitman has played before at Wembley and stressed that the prospect of playing there gives him butterflies.

Dykes is counting on the Birmingham City fans to strengthen them mentally and is eager to create history at Wembley.

“Amazing place to play, very iconic and wake up in the morning, excited to play, gives you butterflies stuff, like that”, Dykes told BluesTV after scoring the winner against the Bantams on Tuesday night.

“So, it will be great and the number of fans that will turn up, 100 per cent, like they have all season.

“But it will be a great day and hopefully we can make history.

Wrexham and Peterborough will battle it out next week to book a place in the EFL Trophy final to face Birmingham City in April.
