“He cannot relax here” – Mikel sends warning to Chelsea ace we “haven’t seen anything” from since December | OneFootball

Former Chelsea star John Obi Mikel has sent a warning to winger Jadon Sancho following his recent form for the Blues.

Sancho was a deadline day signing from Manchester United last summer, with the England international joining on an initial loan deal which will become permanent for around £25m if the Blues don’t finish in the bottom six.

The 24-year-old made a good start to his Chelsea career, making a man of the match debut against Bournemouth and getting three assists in his first three games.

Mikel sends warning to Sancho

Sancho scored his first two goals for Chelsea in wins against Southampton and Chelsea, but like many of the other attackers he’s struggled on the current run of two wins in the last eight league games.

With Mykhailo Mudryk currently out of the picture, Sancho is very much first choice on the left wing, although Pedro Neto can also play there.

Goals have been harder to come by for the Blues recently, who were free flowing in attack earlier in the season, but they are still the fourth highest scorers in the division.

Cole Palmer is the only attacker who’s currently contributing on a consistent basis, whilst Sancho hasn’t made a goal contribution since the draw against Crystal Palace on January 4th.

Mikel, who isn’t afraid of giving his opinion has sent a warning to the winger and insisted he cannot relax at Chelsea.

“He came through the door and showed why I wanted him, the first few games he showed why he should be here, he was running at players, creating chances but since December we haven’t seen anything from Jadon, he cannot relax here,” he told his Obi One Podcast.
