Win the next three Scottish Premiership matches and Celtic will be celebrating the title win up at McDiarmid Park in Perth early next month but before that it’s all about the Scottish Cup quarter-final against Hibs at Celtic Park this weekend.
The celebrations with the supporters on Saturday at Paisley during the goals that won the game, and afterwards when the game was finished were exceptionally humble but richly deserved. The Celtic players clearly enjoyed the moment, which each and every single one of them has fully earned.

There were no pretend cigar smoking antics despite commanding such a comfortable lead at the top of the table, although they could have been forgiven for adopting such an arrogant attitude. However that behaviour is reserved for players of lesser clubs who will celebrate any form of success, even if that success is being comfortably recognised as second best.
There’s a time and place to display your dominance and that is when you have to fully earn it. You have to prove that you are the best on a consistent basis and let the league table and trophy count do the talking. Only when you’ve achieved that can you properly celebrate your achievements.

We may not be over the line officially just yet, but it’s only a matter of time before we are crowned champions once again. With the Premier Sports League Cup already in the bag and the possibility of adding the Scottish Cup to our haul, we have shown our true strength and character when it matters, and don’t need to flaunt it with mocking gestures.

The great form that Hibs are in at the moment and the large 7000 support that they are bringing to Celtic Park this weekend in the Scottish Cup quarter final points to this being one of the games of the season. It’s going to be a brilliant atmosphere, a real cup-tie with both sides going all out to win an both getting the full backing of their own supporters.
