Inter are reportedly interested in signing Juma Bah of Valladolid, with the defender’s entourage confirming the Nerazzurri are willing to trigger his release clause to fend off competition from Manchester City.
The 18-year-old joined the La Liga side on loan last summer from a club in Sierra Leone, his native country, and didn’t take long before hitting his stride, as he established himself as a starter for the relegation-threatened team.
In his first experience in European football, the physical centre-back has attracted attention from a host of clubs, including the Beneamata, Barcelona and the Citizens.

Having realised how fierce the competition to sign the youngster could get by next summer, the Nerazzurri are said to have stepped up in their chase of Juma, as his agents confirmed they are expected to make an official bid soon.
“At the moment, Inter have shown the most interest and are moving quickly, even willing to pay the requested fee of €15m because they believe the value could multiply by June,” a source from the player’s entourage told Africafoot, as quoted by Fcinternews.
“Manchester City haven’t followed up after the initial contact, and Barcelona have yet to formalise any offers, so for now, Inter appear to be the most likely destination for Juma Bah.”
Valladolid are expected to activate the option to buy included in the defender’s loan deal, but according to Fcinternews Juma’s release clause with the Spanish outfit would be significantly lower, around €6m.
With their rearguard plagued by multiple injuries this season, and Francesco Acerbi particularly struggling to remain fit, the Biscione may be eager to bring in defensive reinforcements already in January.
