Inter Milan have sealed a long-term contract extension for teenage striker Francesco Pio Esposito.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews. They report that the 19-year-old has signed a new deal until the end of June 2030.

Inter Milan-owned striker Francesco Pio Esposito has been in blazing form this season.

The teenager is currently the top scorer in Serie B, where he is on loan with Spezia.

This has attracted no shortage of transfer interest in Esposito.

Reportedly, Napoli made an offer for the 19-year-old. They didn’t want to sign him on loan – they want to sign Pio Esposito outright.

But Inter rejected that bid.

Meanwhile, from the Premier League the likes of Manchester United and Leicester City have reportedly expressed an interest in the young striker’s signature.

However, Inter’s stance on Francesco Pio Esposito has remained clear.

The Nerazzurri see the young striker as having a prominent place in their future plans.

Therefore, Inter have no intention of selling Esposito this summer.

As such, it was a priority for the Nerazzurri to secure Esposito’s future in the longer term.

Over the past few weeks, Inter have been in talks with the 19-year-old’s representatives to iron out a new contract.

And according to the Gazzetta, everything is done.

Pio Esposito will sign a new five-year contract until the end of June 2030 with Inter.

This will see the young striker’s earnings rise to €1 million net per season.
