Inter have a mixed bag of injury updates following Simone Inzaghi’s training session on Thursday, as Lautaro Martinez could return for the next Serie A match, while Denzel Dumfries is expected to be ruled out for longer than originally anticipated.

One in, one out for Inter ahead of Parma

According to reports from Gianluca Di Marzio, Lautaro Martinez resumed training on Thursday following the injury set-back that ruled him out of action for Argentina during the March international break, as well as Inter’s 2-1 win over Udinese and the 1-1 Coppa Italia draw with Inter on Wednesday night.

The Nerazzurri captain is in contention to return to the squad, and possibly the starting XI against Parma in Serie A at the weekend, but there are no guarantees just yet.

Dimarco, meanwhile, did not train with the rest of the Inter group on Thursday and was an unused substitute for the Coppa Italia draw against Milan on Wednesday night.

The Italy international has struggled with muscular fatigue over the last week following his recent injury, and so the medical staff decided to give him the day off to avoid any unnecessary risks. He will return to training on Friday. The same is also the case for Marko Arnautovic.

Reports earlier on Thursday morning confirmed that Denzel Dumfries will be out of action for another three to four weeks as a result of the injury he suffered prior to the March international break.
