Davide Frattesi wants to leave Inter Milan, but Roma and Napoli have yet to make any offers for the 25-year-old.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
It now looks clear that Frattesi’s situation at Inter has come to a head.
The last straw was the Serie A match against Como last month.
Frattesi had seemed all set to start that match. However, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi instead opted to go with Nicolo Barella in the starting eleven at the eleventh hour.
Barella was only just coming back from injury. But Inzaghi decided to rush the 27-year-old back.
That sent a clear message to Frattesi that the coach did not really trust him as a regular starter.
Now, Frattesi’s situation looks clear.
The 25-year-old has not managed to nail down the playing time he wants at Inter. And it’s not as though he has managed to sway Inzaghi into starting him in recent matches.
Even with Hakan Calhanoglu and Henrikh Mkhitaryan absent due to injury, it has been Kristjan Asllani and Piotr ZIelinski who have gotten the nod over the former Sassuolo midfielder.
Therefore, the Corriere della Sera report, Frattesi very much wants a change of scenery.
But no offers have arrived yet. Roma look to be the club keenest on the Italian international, and Napoli are also keeping tabs. But neither have made a bid to Inter.
