The fitness of midfielder Davide Frattesi for today’s Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Empoli will be a last minute decision.
This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Frattesi has been dealing with a slight muscle problem in the last few days.
There is no serious injury for the former Sassuolo midfielder. However he has suffered from some muscular fatigue which has prevented him from training normally.
In the meantime, there have also been many transfer rumours about Frattesi.
Reportedly, the 25-year-old wants to leave Inter due to a lack of playing time. He wants to join Roma, and the Giallorossi want to sign him.
That would not be the reason for Frattesi to potentially drop out of the squad for today’s Serie A clash with Empoli, however.
Frattesi’s fitness is a genuine doubt.
The Corriere report that it will likely go down to the wire.
Frattesi has not been at his best after Wednesday’s Serie A match against Empoli. Therefore, he has hardly had an ideal period of training.
However, there is still every chance that the Italian international will make the squad this evening.
