JustArsenal: Milan’s interest in Arsenal defender reignited – the price and competition

Jakub Kiwior could be allowed to leave Arsenal this summer, and AC Milan are once again being linked with a move for him.
Milan were first mentioned as being interested in signing Kiwior back in the 2022 summer transfer window when he had first emerged at Spezia. However, Arsenal eventually won the race to sign him, though he has not been a regular starter since moving to London.
According to our colleagues at JustArsenal, the Gunners ‘will make their final decision’ on Kiwior soon, with the expectation being that they will listen to offers in the region of €30-35m for the defender. The 23-year-old centre-back has attracted interest from several major clubs, including Milan.
Bayer Leverkusen, Marseille, Sevilla, Villarreal, Juventus, Inter, Napoli, Atalanta, Fiorentina, and Bologna are also mentioned as being keen on signing the Poland international.
Bayer Leverkusen in particular are one of the clubs closely monitoring Kiwior’s situation because Arsenal’s valuation is seen as reasonable by the Bundesliga side, though they will ‘test their stance’ with an offer of around €25m.
Olympique Marseille are ones to watch too. Under Roberto De Zerbi, the Ligue 1 giants have secured Champions League qualification and are now aiming to invest and to build an ambitious squad for next season.
Marseille had ‘previously attempted to sign Kiwior during the winter transfer window’, but Mikel Arteta blocked the move. Now, they are back in talks with his entourage and are ‘preparing to submit an opening bid soon’.
