The injury, which required surgery and extensive rehabilitation, was expected to keep Havertz out until the 2025–26 campaign. Arsenal’s medical team had forecast a cautious recovery timeline, but Havertz’s own drive to return earlier has shifted expectations.
Speaking in March, Arteta hinted that a comeback before season’s end was not entirely out of the question. “Hopefully, we can have him back [before the end of the season]. Let’s see, every injury isn’t the same. The mindset of those two [Saka and Havertz], though, is very, very similar. [He has a] great injury history, great work ethic, he’s desperate to get back playing as quickly as possible, and great medical staff as well to look after them.”
That tone grew more definitive this month. “If everything goes the way it’s going at the moment, he will have a chance to play a few games before the end of the season,” Arteta said ahead of the game against Bournemouth.
On Wednesday, Arsenal held an open training session at the Emirates and Havertz was involved, as Daily Cannon chief reporter, Dan Critchlow spotted:

Havertz’s return would offer a timely boost as Arsenal push to end the campaign in second place. His absence has been felt in both midfield and attack, where his movement, link play, and versatility have been integral to Arteta’s tactical structure.
With just two fixtures remaining – Newcastle this weekend and Southampton away on the final day – any appearance would be brief but symbolically important.
