In recent days news has emerged that Barcelona are set to sell the rights to the VIP seats in their stadium in order to raise funds to register Dani Olmo for the second-half of the season.

In a dramatic turn of events, reports now indicate that several La Liga clubs are now willing to take legal action over this perceived preferential treatment that Barcelona have received.

As per Barcelona-based journalist Albert Ortega, these clubs would seek the competition being made null and void due to the preferential treatment the club would be receiving should they give into Joan Laporta’s pressure.

One club in particular which has been mentioned is Athletic Club, who likely still harbour some ill feeling toward the Catalan club due to their pursuit of Nico Williams during the summer.

The clubs involved, which for the most part have gone unnamed, will await a final decision from the RFEF before taking any further steps, but there is definitely plenty of opposition to this move to register Dani Olmo should it be acted upon.
