Lamine Yamal responds to Barcelona’s defeat to Inter Milan | OneFootball

Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal has taken to social media, to provide his response to the club’s exit from European competition.

Barcelona, of course, were condemned to a devastating defeat on Tuesday night.

Just minutes away from booking a spot in the finale of the Champions League, the Blaugrana were pegged back by Inter Milan, sending proceedings at San Siro to extra-time.

And from here, it was the latter who held their nerve, a further strike on the part of Davide Frattesi having proven enough to send Barcelona packing from this season’s Champions League.

Post-match, Hansi Flick’s players, in turn, looked nothing short of crestfallen.

The Catalans have now bid farewell to what could have been a historic silverware treble.

Lamine Yamal was one such player to have been visibly devastated by the outcome in Milan, comforted by not only his teammates, but some of Inter’s stars, too.

And as alluded to above, the 17-year-old has since taken to social media, to provide his personal response to Barca’s defeat.

In a post on his official Instagram account, Lamine wrote:

“We gave it our all — this year it couldn’t be, but we’ll be back, have no doubt about it. Culers, we won’t stop until we put this club where it belongs: at the very top. I will keep my promise and bring it to Barcelona; we won’t stop until we achieve it. But Sunday is another final, and we all need to be together. Visca el Barça!”
