Lazio are reportedly one of several clubs interested in exciting young Serbian striker Mihajlo Cvetkovic.

New Striker Needed

The Biancocelesti are apparently looking to add a young bomber to their ranks next season. The club’s sporting director Angelo Fabiani reportedly took the opportunity to meet the agents of Viktoria Plzen’s Rafiu Durosinmi while the Laziali were in the Czech Republic for the first leg of the Europa League Round of 16.

Lazio Tracking Mihajlo Cvetkovic

But according to Mozzart Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), the Aquile are also keeping tabs on Cvetkovic, an 18-year-old attacker who rose through the ranks of Cukaricki. Despite his tender age, he has been a member of the club’s first team since 2023. This season, he has established himself as a regular starter, scoring seven goals in 23 appearances in the Serbian top flight.

Wasted Opportunity for Malmo

As the Serbian newspaper explains, the teenager was very close to joining Malmo recently, but the Swedish giants weren’t able to reach an agreement with the player’s entourage who requested a salary of €240,000 per year.

Lazio Have Two competitors in the Race for Mihajlo Cvetkovic

This could be the opening for Lazio to strike an accord with the player and his club next summer. Cvetkovic’s contract will expire in June 2026, so he could be available for a relatively low fee. However, the source notes the Biancocelesti aren’t alone in the race, as Eintracht Frankfurt and Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce are equally interested.
