Leandro Paredes nearing automatic contract renewal with Roma | OneFootball

Leandro Paredes has been truly reborn since Claudio Ranieri’s arrival.

The Argentine midfielder had collected only a handful of minutes during Ivan Juric’s short-lived tenure in the capital.

With Ranieri in place, Paredes has been consistently starting for the Giallorossi, leading them to their first series of victories this season.

His future now seems completely changed given that only two months ago he was being linked with a January move back to Argentina.

According to Corriere dello Sport there is a release clause present in Paredes’ contract that would favor an imminent extension for the midfielder.

In the contract that binds the former Boca Juniors man to Roma there is in fact a clause for the renewal upon reaching 50% of the appearances and the qualification of the Giallorossi for any European cup, the extension will be triggered. All the conditions are there.
