Liverpool-Bologna ticket chaos as only 500 made available for Rossoblu fans | OneFootball

Bologna supporters had a nightmare trying to purchase tickets for next week’s Champions League trip to Liverpool, as a malfunctioning ticketing system meant that only 500 were made available when they went online earlier this week.

Ticket trouble ahead of Liverpool-Bologna

Though Bologna received an allocation of just under 3,000 for the away trip to Anfield next week, only 500 were made available to purchase online when they were released to Rossoblu supporters.

In a series of events not too dissimilar to the Oasis-Ticketmaster fiasco that made headlines in the UK a few weeks ago, supporters had issues accessing the ticketing website, were left to ‘queue’ for hours, and server time-outs meant that many had to start the process all over again, multiple times over.

According to Tuttobolognaweb, ‘half’ of the city had attempted to get tickets for what will be the team’s first away trip in the European Cup since the 1960s.

While thousands of supporters missed out, Vincenzo Italiano’s side will still be backed by around 2,981 supporters at Anfield next week.
