It is no secret that Barcelona are looking to shore up their options in the attacking department going into the summer transfer window.
The club want to add more options in the goalscoring department and reduce the reliance on the front three comprising Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Lamine Yamal.
Keeping that in mind, Barcelona have identified Luis Diaz as an ideal reinforcement option in the attacking department. And everything suggests Liverpool, too, are now preparing for the potential exit of the attacker.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are weighing up the possibility of signing Malick Fofana in the coming summer.
It appears the Premier League champions are targeting the Lyon attacker as a potential replacement for Diaz.

Liverpool, after all, are aware of Barcelona’s interest in Diaz and the fact that the Colombian international is keen on playing for the Catalans.
As such, Liverpool are ready to go after Fofana, who has been one of the rising stars in Ligue 1 this season.
The report suggests the Reds have already sounded out the idea of signing Fofana and have even spoken to Lyon about the same.
The Ligue 1 giants are said to be looking for a figure of around €30 million, which is less than half of what Liverpool are expected to demand for the services of Diaz.
Barcelona, for their part, are ready to pay around €60 million for the Colombian international, so it will be interesting to see how this transfer saga unfolds in the coming weeks.
But one thing is for sure – Diaz has emerged as a top target for Barça, with sporting director Deco identifying him as a key priority.
