Stuttgarter Nachrichten reports that Liverpool are interested in bringing VfB Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller to the club in the summer.
There is serious interest from Liverpool in bringing Stiller to the Premier League, it is believed the English side sees the Munich-born midfielder as an important piece in their midfield in the future.
A fee of at least €60m is the threshold for which Stuttgart will then consider letting the 23-year-old leave in the summer. This is because Stiller is a vital piece in the Swabians’ squad and the way they play. From next season onwards, if Stuttgart is to achieve anything, then Stiller will be an important piece.
The 23 year old does have a €40m release clause in his contract that is valid until 2026 but his clause can be bought out for a fee of €2m. This then means Stuttgart can demand what ever price they want for Stiller.
Last summer, Liverpool tried to sign Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad, but the Spanish midfielder decided to stay in San Sebastian. Instead, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot used Ryan Gravenberch as a ‘number six’ during their title-winning season.
