With Milan Skriniar now at Fenerbahçe, Paris Saint-Germain could be on the lookout for a new center-back this summer. Although Skriniar’s move is just a loan, PSG are expected to part ways with him permanently, making a replacement necessary.
Last month, Anfield Watch reported that PSG are determined to sign Ibrahima Konate. The pursuit only adds to the pressure with uncertainty surrounding the defender’s future.
PSG aim to bring Konate back to his hometown of Paris. The defender, who started at Paris FC before moving to RB Leipzig, has become a key target for the club.
Meanwhile, if Liverpool fail to reach an extension with Konate, they reportedly have a bold plan to offload him and strengthen their attack.

Liverpool are open to selling Konate, provided that Real Madrid or any other interested club meets their €60 million (£50.6m, $65.5m) asking price, according to Defensa Central.
That would see Liverpool make a significant profit on a player they signed for £36 million, who has been a solid performer for them over the years. Konate has made 123 appearances for the Reds, scoring five goals and registering four assists.
The report also mentions that Liverpool have already targeted Nico Schlotterbeck of Borussia Dortmund as a potential replacement if Konate moves to Madrid or elsewhere.
