Loan round-up: Roerslev makes Wolfsburg debut | OneFootball

Brentford loanee Mads Roerslev made his debut for Wolfsburg in a 1-1 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga on Sunday.

The right-back, who made the move to Germany a day after helping the Bees win 2-1 at Crystal Palace in the Premier League last Sunday, was introduced as a substitute on 75 minutes.

An own goal from Tuta put Wolfsburg in front, as they looked set to become only the second team to win away from home against third-placed Frankfurt this season. However, Can Uzun's late equaliser saw both teams share the spoils.

Roerslev could make both his full and home debuts on Saturday afternoon when Wolfsburg host champions Bayer Leverkusen.

Frank Onyeka was also involved in a 1-1 draw in the Bundesliga this weekend as his Augsburg side picked up a point at St Pauli.

Onyeka started the game, racking up his 19th appearance of the season for his loan side across the league and German Cup.

Left-back Jayden Meghoma made his third successive start in the Championship as Preston lost 2-1 to Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers on Friday night.

Meghoma was replaced by Brad Potts, who went on to score a late consolation goal for North End, midway through the second half.

Elsewhere in the Championship, Myles Peart-Harris was utilised as a second-half substitute in Swansea City's 2-0 home defeat to Coventry City.

First-half goals from Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante secured the three points for Frank Lampard's Sky Blues.

In League One, Ryan Trevitt made his second Exeter City debut from the bench and Tony Yogane started for the Grecians in a 4-1 loss at Stevenage.

An early Josh Magennis penalty put the visitors in front, but the hosts turned the game on its head before half-time and scored twice more late on to secure a comfortable victory.

Goalkeeper Matt Cox was also in action in the English third tier as his Crawley side, who had looked to have claimed a point following a 90th-minute equaliser, suffered a late 2-1 defeat at home to Wrexham. Cox kept a clean sheet on his debut for the Red Devils earlier last week, in a 1-0 win over Mansfield Town.

Three Brentford players were involved as Cheltenham snatched a 1-0 home win over Chesterfield in League Two.

Ashley Hay started up front for the hosts and Val Adedokun came on to replace Robins captain Scot Bennett with just 17 minutes on the clock.

Despite being on the losing side, Michael Olakigbe impressed for Chesterfield as he saw a shot blocked in the first half before curling just wide of the post in the second, with Arkell Jude-Boyd winning the game in the 92nd minute.

Finally, Ellery Balcombe was in goal for Motherwell's 3-1 home defeat to Celtic in the Scottish Premiership, and fellow keeper Ben Winterbottom was between the sticks for Fylde's 2-1 loss against Oldham Athletic.
