The Paris Saint-Germain coach spoke to PSG TV ahead of Wednesday's Coupe de France Round of 32 tie with Espaly.
'We have a team that analyses our opponents. We've seen Espaly, they're a club from another division that isn't going to play in their own stadium. We love the Coupe de France. It brings back good memories for us, and it's very good to play against opponents from different levels. That's the magic of the competition. When you play at Paris Saint-Germain, there are no friendlies, no match when you can drop off. The team is in good shape, we have to keep going with the same attitude of playing each game as if it were a final.'
'We have to come into our next Champions League game in the best condition. We have to manage things as best we can. There will be some turnover in order to give players time on the pitch. In January, we have a general view over the seven games, which is at best a short- or mid-term view. In terms of preparation, I'm only thinking about the match against Espaly.'
'It's a different window to the summer one, which is more open. There's more preparation, more planning. The January market is very difficult. It's difficult to get it right with the few possibilities open to you. I'm very happy with the squad I have and I want to get the best out of them. It's very difficult to improve it. In spite of that, you have to keep an open mind, and the sporting director and his team are. Luis Campos is very attentive in trying to improve the team in every position, even if it's almost impossible in this window.'
