Real Madrid and Real Sociedad met on the grasses of the Reale Arena on Wednesday night in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal clash.
Carlo Ancelotti opted to deploy a relatively rotated lineup on the night with stars like Arda Guler and Endrick getting a run in from the opening whistle.
As was expected, the game turned out far closer than it looked on paper with Real Sociedad even controlling the proceedings for a long time.
A goal from Endrick off Jude Bellingham’s assist, however, gave Ancelotti’s men the lead and a decisive result heading into the second leg at Santiago Bernabeu.
