In one of the more shocking deals of the week, Tom Bogert has reported that the Columbus Crew have 'agreed a deal' to send Christian Ramirez to the LA Galaxy just days after selling superstar forward Cucho Hernandéz.

Ramirez bagged 14 goal contributions in the 2024 season after playing a key role in the Crew's 2023 MLS Cup triumph.

Reports suggest the Galaxy see him as a starting number-nine in the wake of Dejan Joveljić's move to Sporting Kansas City earlier in the window.

After the departure of starlet Alan Velasco earlier in the winter, FC Dallas are still in the hunt for a new number 10.

Reports suggested that they submitted a bid of $12m for Portland Timbers star Evander, but the offer was rejected.

This week however, Tom Bogert has revealed that Dallas held 'preliminary talks' with Benfica over a move for Benjamín Rollheiser, but were unsuccessful in their efforts.

The talks are now 'inactive'.

The Portland Timbers completed the signing of Colombian full-back Jimer Fory from Independiente Medellín earlier this week, signing the 22-year-old to a three-year deal.

The left-back is a two-time Colombian champion and has already made just under 130 senior appearances in his career.

“One of our biggest priorities this offseason was to identify players that could strengthen the team along the back line," said Timbers GM Ned Grabavoy.

"We are delighted with the acquisition of Jimer, and we believe he can have an immediate impact with further room for growth."
