Man City are in the thick of things when it comes to securing a Champions League place whilst Wolves have assured their Premier League safety and are in tremendous form.

Man City to win to nil (7/5 with William Hill)

Man City have kept a clean sheet in three of their last five Premier League matches, going unbeaten during that time and picking up 13 points. They are in pole position for a top five finish and seem to be hitting their stride at just the right time to ward off challenges from the likes of Chelsea and Nottingham Forest. They’ll be keen to extend their good run of form and move one step closer to Champions League football next season.

Nico O’Reilly anytime goalscorer (13/2 with Paddy Power)

Nico O’Reilly has scored in two of his last three Premier League appearances, including scoring the opener in the 84th minute against Everton. The young full back has emerged as a top talent in the latter half of the season, showing his importance at both ends of the pitch and he’ll be given the freedom to get forward and join the Man City attack. He’s scored five goals this season, all of them coming in 2025.

How both teams go into Man City vs Wolves

At the time of writing, Manchester City are edging closer to Champions League qualification. Pep Guardiola’s men have taken 13 points from their last five Premier League matches to sit fourth in the table. However, things are close, with Newcastle in third and Aston Villa in seventh separated by just five points, with five teams looking to take the last three Champions League spots.

That good run of form has come at just the right time for Pep Guardiola’s men as the run in really heats up. The top five are all guaranteed Champions League football and Man City sit in a good position to claim one of those spots. They’ll need to keep that going though with the teams around them all picking up points too. Man City come into this game knowing they’ll be playing in the FA Cup final following their 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last weekend.

It could be a tough test against a Wolves side enjoying a stunning six-game winning streak, including beating Spurs at home and Man Utd away. That’s seen Vitor Pereira’s men climb to 13th in the table with their safety now officially secured. Wolves can now focus on trying to finish as high up as possible and preparing for better days next season.

It’s a far cry from their early season form where they looked likely to face relegation but the turnaround has been glorious for Wolves fans. They are unbeaten in seven games and, whilst a top half finish is out of their reach, they could finish as high as 11th, which is remarkable considering where they were at the turn of the year.

Man City team news

Ederson should be back in action by the time this match comes around, while Guardiola will hope to have John Stones back in the squad. However, it’ll definitely come too soon for Nathan Ake and Erling Haaland, while Rodri is out for the season.

Wolves team news

The likes of Yerson Mosquera and Pedro Lima are out for Wolves, but they should have attacking duo Hwang Hee-chan and Jean-Ricner Belegarde back in action for this one.

Man City vs Wolves head-to-head

Wolves have lost their last two matches against Manchester City, while they’ve not won at the Etihad since October 2019.
