Manchester United are hoping to send Marcus Rashford to Juventus, but the Turin-based giants have long set their sights on another member of Ruben Amorim’s band.
The Englishman has been omitted from the coach’s matchday squad in the last four contests against Man City, Tottenham, Bournemouth and Wolves. And despite losing the last three contests, Amorim remains stubborn in his approach, suggesting that the striker will remain on the outs as long as he isn’t raising his level on the training field.
Therefore, the situation appears to be irreparable at this stage, with many believing that the player’s exit in January has become inevitable.
So according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport (via TuttoMercatoWeb), Man Utd have offered Rashford’s services to Juventus who are on the market for a new striker.
The Bianconeri have been forced to rely solely on Dusan Vlahovic to lead the line, as Arkadiusz Milik has been out with a knee injury since June. While the latter is expected to return in January, it might take him some time to regain match fitness, hence why the Serie A giants are in favor of bringing in a new forward.
As the source explains, Rashford’s current valuation is around €50 million, but the Red Devils would be open to a loan move for €3-4 million.
But while Juve are reportedly reflecting on the proposal, their head coach Thiago Motta still prefers a reunion with his old Bologna pupil Joshua Zirkzee.
The two men enjoyed a prosperous collaboration at the Renato Dall’Ara over the last two campaigns, culminating in a historic qualification for the Champions League at the end of last season. Therefore, the Juventus manager would love to have the Dutchman at his disposal once again, while the latter would likely relish the opportunity to return to Italy amidst his struggles at Old Trafford.
