Manchester City look to have nearly every player available for blockbuster Real Madrid clash | OneFootball

Manchester City take on Real Madrid tomorrow morning at the Etihad Stadium. The first leg of the Champions League knockout phase play-off will begin the latest chapter in the rivalry between the two teams. There is no doubt that tomorrow night’s match will have the full attention of the football world. Pep Guardiola’s side trained earlier today ahead of the first leg of the tie, and they look to have almost a full squad available for the match.

The biggest question mark surrounding the Manchester City squad was the availability and fitness of Nico Gonzàlez. The midfielder was substituted early in the first half of City’s 2-1 win over Leyton Orient with what appeared to be a hip injury. But the Spanish midfielder was pictured training in a video shared on mancity.com. The fact that Nico Gonzàlez trained does indicate that he is available for tomorrow night’s match. Simon Bajkowski of Manchester Evening News also reported via X that Nico Gonzàlez trained with his teammates.

Ederson and Nathan Ake also trained earlier today which would indicate that they are also available for the pivotal match. John Stones and Ruben Dias were pictured training in good news for Pep Guardiola’s side. Based on Manchester City’s open training session, only Oscar Bobb and Rodri are unavailable for tomorrow night’s match. Bobb is recovering from an ankle injury and Rodri is continuing his recovery from the ACL injury he sustained in September.

But it does appear that Pep Guardiola has a full squad to choose from for tomorrow night’s match. Besides Oscar Bobb and Rodri every other City player looks to be available for the game.
