Erling Haaland earlier this week posted a positive update on his recovery from the ankle injury he sustained against Bournemouth during City’s 2-1 FA Cup quarter-final win. Manchester City’s top-scorer has resumed light training as he bids to return before the end of the season. Now a new report indicates that Haaland is leaving nothing to chance in his bid to return from injury.
Jeremy Cross has reported for the Daily Star that Erling Haaland has targeted playing again this season. Furthermore, Cross reports that City’s top-scorer is aiming to be back for the FA Cup final should Manchester City qualify. Despite currently being unavailable Haaland is pushing to recover from the ankle injury that has ruled him out. Cross further reports that the Norwegian international is undergoing bike sessions in a hypoxic chamber, having physiotherapeutic massages and thermotherapy in a bid to get back to the pitch.
It is no surprise to hear that Haaland is doing all he can to get back on the pitch. His professionalism is key aspect to his success. Haaland treats his body with the utmost care so he can consistently perform at the highest level. He is obviously working on his recovery from injury in the same manner.
It would be a huge boost if Manchester City could have Haaland back come the end of the season. If they can beat Nottingham Forest and earn a spot in the FA Cup Haaland would be a massive inclusion for that occasion. But if City don’t make the Wembley showpiece they still need their top-scorer back to aid in their chase for Champions League football. Based on Jeremy Cross’ new update that possibility is in play.
