Manchester United are interested in Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, as per reports.

The United hierarchy left Ruben Amorim with plenty of selection headaches after failing to reinforce the side’s attack despite the departures of Marcus Rashford and Antony during the winter window.

In recent games, left-winger Alejandro Garnacho has looked lively behind the striker while Amorim has also used Kobbie Mainoo to good effect in that area.

However, apart from Amad Diallo, the United head coach doesn’t have any reliable attacking option to make a difference from the right flank.

United are expected to strengthen their attack over the summer and a report from Spain has linked them with the Bournemouth star.

According to Fichajes, Semenyo has “sparked the interest” of United with his exploits at Bournemouth.

Known for his close control and mazy dribbling, the 25-year-old has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most exciting wingers under Andoni Iraola.

The Ghana international has nine goals and four assists to his name in 26 appearances across all competitions.

The Spanish outlet underlines that his versatility “fits the profile” the Mancunian giants are looking for to improve their squad depth.

United appear to be “willing to make the most serious move” for the Ghanaian winger in the next transfer window.

Semenyo is capable of playing on both flanks but most of his minutes under Iraola have come on the right wing as a winger or right-sided midfielder.

Accordingly, he could prove to be a brilliant replacement for Antony, who has been loaned out to Real Betis for the remainder of the season and is not anticipated to have a long-term future under Amorim.
