Relive the key moments from Les Rouge et Bleu's March, whether it's their win at Anfield or Désiré Doué’s debut for France.

1st march: Paris Saint-Germain v. Lille OSC

On Matchday 24 of Ligue 1, Paris welcomed fourth-placed Lille to the Parc des Princes for a big game between two of this season's UEFA Champions League contenders. Although the hosts raced into a 4-0 lead inside just 37 minutes through goals from Bradley Barcola (6'), Marquinhos (22'), Ousmane Dembélé (28') and Désiré Doué (37'), the second half would prove much calmer, with Lille earning themselves an 80th-minute consolation goal through Jonathan David. Thanks to their dominant display, however, Luis Enrique's men picked up a tenth straight win as well as plenty of confidence with four days to go until the first leg of their UCL last-16 tie against Liverpool.

5TH march: Paris Saint-Germain v. Liverpool FC

Les Parisiens were at full throttle from the very start of this crucial match in their 2024–2025 campaign, registering a total of 27 shots, including ten on target, but were constantly thwarted by a perfect performance from Liverpool keeper Alisson. Despite enjoying 71% of the possession, Les Rouge et Bleu were beaten by a cruel 87th-minute strike from Harvey Elliott, but nothing had been said and done just yet.

8TH march: Stade Rennais FC v. Paris Saint-Germain

Between the two legs of their Champions League tie, Paris Saint-Germain's aims on Matchday 25 of Ligue 1 were clear – to get back to winning ways and to regain some confidence – and for this trip to Rennes, which happened to fall on his 19th birthday, Warren Zaïre-Emery was handed the captain's armband for the first time, thereby making him one of the youngest skippers in the club's history.

Paris made their first-half domination tell at Roazhon Park when the aforementioned Barcola opened the scoring in the 27th minute, and, five minutes after the interval, the visitors would double their lead through Gonçalo Ramos. Although Lilian Brassier managed to pull a goal back for Rennes in the 53rd minute, Luis Enrique's decision to bring Dembélé off the bench would eventually pay off, as the France international bagged himself a brace in the space of just three minutes (90'+1 and 90'+4), while the image of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia remarkably controlling the ball in mid-air would etch itself into the memories of football fans all around the world.

11TH march: Liverpool FC v. Paris Saint-Germain

Trailing by a goal after the first leg, Paris had no choice but to turn things around in the return fixture if they were to have any hope of continuing their run through this season's Champions League. Although Les Parisiens were put under even more pressure by the Anfield crowd, Dembélé had little time to waste as he brought his side level on aggregate in just the 12th minute. With 19 shots for Liverpool and 21 for Paris, this was elite football at its finest, and the tie would eventually be decided by a penalty shootout after the visitors had managed to hold onto their second-leg lead through extra time. Vitinha, Ramos and Dembélé each made no mistake from 12 yards, while the imperial Gianluigi Donnarumma saved two of the English side's three spot kicks. In the end, after the unbearable suspense of it all, it was Doué who stepped up to finish the job and send Paris Saint-Germain through to the quarter-finals with their first-ever UCL penalty shootout victory in the bag.

16TH march: Le Classique

After an emotionally charged week, Les Parisiens were full of confidence as they hosted Olympique de Marseille – their arch rivals and closest competitors in the league table – for Le Classique on Matchday 26 of Ligue 1, and it was to be another highly disciplined display from the capital club at a fiery Parc des Princes. Again, Dembélé left little time for doubt as he opened the scoring in the 17th minute and notched up his 21st league goal of the season in the process, before Nuno Mendes chipped in with a second just three minutes before the end of normal time in the first half. Although Marseille reduced the deficit through Amine Gouiri shortly after the interval, Paris kept their cool and eventually forced Pol Lirola into an own goal with a quarter of an hour left to play. With the score staying at 3-1 until the final whistle, Les Rouge et Bleu won their seventh straight Classique and extended their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 standings to 19 points, while Fabián Ruiz proved to be his side's lucky charm once again, having not lost any of his previous 48 games in the French top flight and thereby equalling Marquinhos's unbeaten streak between 2014 and 2016.

THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK

20 Paris players were called up for international duty by their respective countries in March, with ten days of action taking place in the UEFA Nations League, FIFA World Cup qualifying, youth competitions and friendlies.

23RD marCH: Désiré Doué MAKES HIS DEBUT FOR LES BleuS

During that international break, France faced Croatia in a two-legged UEFA Nations League quarter-final, for which Didier Deschamps had decided to include Désiré Doué in his 23-man squad. In the 66th minute of the second leg, the Paris Saint-Germain striker came off the bench to replace club teammate Barcola and, in doing so, racked up his first few minutes of game time with Les Bleus. After Dembélé had scored the goal that brought the aggregate score to 2-2, Doué once again maintained his composure from 12 yards as his successful spot kick after extra time helped his side to win the tie on penalties.

29TH march: AS Saint-Étienne V. Paris Saint-Germain

Paris were on a mission to end their mad month of March in ideal fashion as they travelled to the cauldron that is the Stade Geoffroy Guichard to face AS Saint-Étienne. The visitors actually found themselves a goal down after a solid opening half-hour from Les Verts, but Gonçalo Ramos's penalty got them back on level terms in the 43rd minute. In the second half, Paris's increased control over proceedings led them to produce a festival of attacking football, with Kvaratskhelia (50'), Doué (53', 66') and João Neves (62') all finding the back of the net. Then, in the dying moments of normal time, Ibrahim Mbaye got in on the act to score his first professional goal and cap off a 6-1 victory for Les Parisiens, who thereby stretched their unbeaten streak in Ligue 1 to 27 games, as many as they achieved in their longest-ever league run without defeat, which came in the 2015–2016 season.
