MIka Biereth (22) has had an exceptional start to life at AS Monaco. Since making the move to the Principality club from Sturm Graz for a €13m fee at the start of January, he has netted 10 goals in Ligue 1, including three hat-tricks, which have come in consecutive home games at the Stade Louis II.
His latest came against Stade de Reims on Friday evening. In doing so, he has become the first Ligue 1 player in 70 years to score three hat-tricks in his first seven games. Biereth has also broken Zlatan Ibrahimović’s record. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker began his time in France with nine goals in his first seven games, which up until now, had been the best figures in Ligue 1 in the 21st century. With 10 goals in seven games, Biereth has broken that record.
The former Arsenal man has also become the first Monaco player since Delio Onnis in the 1975-76 season to net three hat-tricks in the same season. With 10 goals, he is also the top-scorer in Europe’s top five leagues in 2025. Quite the impact from the Danish youth international.
