Milan are getting serious about their intention of adding a quality marksman, with Santiago Gimenez topping their wish list, but they need to bring in cash before putting together a credible bid. Moreover, Feyenoord don’t want to lose their stars in January, La Gazzetta dello Sport relays.
After the Fikayo Tomori deal with Juventus fell through, the Rossoneri are dangling Emerson Royal and Strahinja Pavlovic even though they joined last summer. The fullback hasn’t shut the door on departing. Galatasaray and Fulham are after him. The Cimbom offers a loan with a €1M initial fee and a €12/13M option to buy, while the Cottagers €10M on the nail. It’d be a lot less than what the Italian side shelled out to lure him from Tottenham.
Milan will need to tender around €40M for Gimenez, who’s keen on the move, but Feyenoord are hard bargainer. They could get part of the sum from the sale of Strahinja Pavlovic. He is in demand even though he has fallen out of favor. Fenerbahce signaled they could propose €20M. Other foreign sides are keen too. The Serb isn’t too enthusiastic about leaving San SIro already.
The Rossoneri have also been offered Sevilla’s Dodi Lukebakio and Everton’s Norberto Beto but will go for their top target first.
Other sides have tried, but Feyenoord have put up strong resistance. Perhaps there’ll be an opening late if they get eliminated from the Champions League. Still, the Rossoneri haven’t splurged that much for any signing in recent windows. There’s probably not enough time if they have to sell first too.
