Milan have decided to start looking for a new offensive weapon in January. They have been offered Marcus Rashford, but, while they are interested, he might earn too much for their standards. Zlatan Ibrahimovic played with him for a season in Manchester, but it’s not an easy pursuit, Calciomercato informs.
The attacker has a €15M gross salary and would be the highest-paid player in the squad. The Red Devils would need to contribute heavily to his wages. The Rossoneri might not be too keen on a simple loan. The Premier League side has reached out also to Napoli, Juventus, and Inter, as the star is butting heads with new coach Ruben Amorim. They’d rather send him abroad than to another English side.
In addition, Milan prefer signing a pure center-forward, as Tammy Abraham and Alvaro Morata haven’t scored in bunches so far. They have been proposed Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who’s on his way out at Everton since his contract will expire in June. He hasn’t hit the net much in recent campaigns, though.
The Rossoneri maintain a strong level of interest in Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez, but he’s pricey. They have joined the race for PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani, but only under the right conditions. They are scouring primarily France, Belgium, and Germany to find the right player.
They should go for it for the present and the future, as it’s hard to imagine Abraham will turn things around so much to deserve to be bought out. However, they need a stud, and they might not have much of a budget for January.
