Marcus Rashford looks set to leave Manchester United in January, and AC Milan are one of the parties interested in the winger. Yesterday, the first discussions were held with his agent/brother.
In Ruben Amorim’s first game as United’s head coach, Rashford found himself on the scoresheet, and some may have believed that the attacker of old was going to return. It has, of course, not played out this way as we know.
Since then, the Englishman has been cast aside and struggled for minutes, and with both parties discussing a future perhaps apart, a move looks likely, even if it is just temporary.
Of course, several teams have become aware of this idea, and Milan are one of those interested parties, alongside other of Europe’s elite. After all, everyone knows about Rashford’s talent, it is just whether anyone has the ability, and more importantly, money, to unlock that.
Reports in recent days have suggested that the Rossoneri’s interest will be dependent on the financials. However, it is possible that the club will consider it heavily, and this is why a preliminary meeting took place yesterday with the player’s agent.
According to Milan News, Dwaine Maynard, Rashford’s brother, travelled to Milan to speak to the Milanese management about the project, but no contractual details were discussed, instead the meeting was purely ‘exploratory’. Today, discussions will be held between the agent and player about the meeting, where the Diavolo and other possibilities will also be considered.
