Mika Biereth, who made his AS Monaco debut off the bench during a Coupe de France defeat to Stade de Reims in midweek, could make his first start for the Principality club when they face Montpellier HSC on Friday night.
Biereth could take the place of out-of-form forward Breel Embolo with George Ilenikhena expected to miss up to four weeks with an adductor injury. There are some returning faces for Monaco. Maghnes Akliouche has missed the last two games with fatigue but he will return to the matchday squad and perhaps even to the starting XI.
Aleksandr Golovin returns from sickness too and is in contention to start. Denis Zakaria, who has also suffered from illness is a doubt. Wilfried Singo is a doubt having come off injured against Reims but there is also a return for Christian Mawissa, who will bolster Monaco’s back line.
Radoslaw Majecki; Caio Henrique, Mohammed Salisu, Thilo Kehrer, Vanderson; Jordan Teze, Lamine Camara; Eliesse Ben Seghir, Takumi Minamino, Maghnes Akliouche; Mika Biereth.
