AC Milan technical director Geoffrey Moncada has insisted that the club have ‘clear ideas’ about how to be ‘better for the future’.

Tonight’s game is one that doesn’t necessarily stand out as being a thriller when looking at the league positions. In fact, it is more of a mid-table battle between Genoa in 13th and Milan in ninth, but both sides still have plenty to play for.

“It’s not like that. We have faith in him. He brought the right mentality. He’s a worker, he works hard every day at Milanello with his staff. It has nothing to do with the Coppa Italia, it’s something else. We’re happy with him.”

How is Leao? Is the bench just a technical choice?

“Yes. We play a difficult match on Friday at San Siro against Bologna. But also today, and Ruben is playing. He is doing well, he is back in good shape physically and it is important to see him play a match.”
