Whoscored have included one Newcastle United player who starred on Sunday afternoon at St James’ Park, in their Premier League team of the week.

‘The whoscored ratings use data from every single Premier League match, over 200 raw statistics included in the automated calculation of a player’s rating, weighted according to their influence within the game.

Every event of importance is taken into account, with a positive or negative effect on ratings weighted in relation to its area on the pitch and its outcome.’

The Whoscored Premier League team of the week:

Antonin Kinsky (Tottenham) – 8.38

Tottenham fell to a 2-0 loss to London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday, but they would have lost by more had it not been for Antonin Kinsky’s heroics between the sticks on home turf. The Czech made eight saves and two high ball claims in the defeat to make the Premier League Team of the Week with a WhoScored rating of 8.38.

Michael Keane (Everton) – 7.98

Michael Keane scored his third league goal of the season as Everton returned to Merseyside with all the spoils at Fulham’s expense on Saturday afternoon. Keane got the better of Bernd Leno with one of two efforts, while six clearances and five interceptions helped Everton to a 3-1 win and the 32-year-old to a WhoScored rating of 7.98.

Jan Bednarek (Southampton) – 7.88

Southampton held Manchester City to a 0-0 draw on home turf on Saturday, with Jan Bednarek solid at the back for the south coast side. The Pole was key in a clean sheet-attaining display, making 13 clearances, two interceptions and one tackle on his way to a WhoScored rating of 7.88.

Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace) – 8.26

The first of two Crystal Palace representatives, Marc Guehi rounds off the defence with a WhoScored rating of 8.26. Guehi, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham, was solid at the back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the England international made five tackles, five clearances and three interceptions in Sunday’s 2-0 win.

Eberechi Eze (Crystal Palace) – 8.58

With a WhoScored rating of 8.58, Eberechi Eze is the Premier League Player of the Week. Eze scored both Crystal Palace goals at Tottenham to continue his fine end-of-season form, getting the better of Antonin Kinsky with two of four shots in north London. Two tackles and one key pass helped the 26-year-old to the award.

Sandro Tonali (Newcastle) – 7.82

Sandro Tonali scored his fourth league goal of the season on Sunday as Newcastle claimed a huge three points in the race to secure a Champions League finish. The Italian scored early on to set the Magpies on their way to a 2-0 win over Chelsea, beating Robert Sanchez with his only shot. The 25-year-old also found a teammate with 95.7% with 47 attempted passes to land a WhoScored rating of 7.82.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (West Ham) – 7.96

The second West Ham player in the side, Aaron Wan-Bissaka impressed at former employers Manchester United on Sunday, as evidenced by a WhoScored rating of 7.96. Wan-Bissaka provided his fourth assist of the season in the 2-0 win at Old Trafford, that coming from one of two key passes, while three dribbles and three tackles contributed towards the 27-year-old’s inclusion.

Beto (Everton) – 8.27

Beto scored for the second game running as Everton claimed a fine 3-1 win at Fulham on Saturday, netting with one of three shots. The Portuguese forward also won eight aerial duels and made two clearances to secure his spot in the side with a WhoScored rating of 8.27.

Leandro Trossard (Arsenal) – 7.75

Joining Beto on the frontline is Arsenal striker Leandro Trossard, who returned a WhoScored rating of 7.75 at Liverpool on Sunday. Trossard provided his sixth assist of the season in the 2-2 draw at Anfield, that coming from one of two key passes, while the Belgian also made three dribbles, two shots and two tackles in the stalemate.
