FC Barcelona once again put on a dominating display last night as they beat Valencia 5-0 at the Mestalla in their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie.
Ferran Torres scored a hattrick in that game, while Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez also got on the scoresheet.
Raphinha was not able to get a goal to his name in this game but was still pivotal for his team as he provided two assists.
As Mundo Deportivo has noted, these two assists put the Brazilian winger in a very special category that includes no other player from the top five European leagues. Raphinha is the only player to have scored and assisted in all four competitions in which Barcelona have participated this season.
The Brazilian had already opened his scoring account in the Copa del Rey in the match against Real Betis, and thus, has one 1 goal and 2 assists in this competition. In La Liga, he has 12 goals and 8 assists, another 8 goals and 4 assists in the UEFA Champions League, and 2 more goals and 1 assist in the Spanish Super Cup.
Harry Kane has also scored and assisted in all of the competitions Bayern Munich have participated in, but he has played in only 3 competitions, while Raphinha has done so in 4.
Meanwhile, among the other top forwards in Europe, Salah has not been able to provide an assist in the English Cup.
Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappe has scored in five competitions so far but has not been able to assist in the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, or the UEFA European Super Cup.
On the other hand, Vinicius Junior has not been able to score in the two Super Cups and also is yet to assist in the Copa del Rey.
Griezmann has also not been able to assist in any of the Cup competitions he is participating in, while Erling Haaland has not provided any assist outside of the Premier League this season.
