Chelsea are rejecting any offers from clubs for Carney Chukwuemeka with an option to buy in them according to Fabrizio Romano.
The January window has less than 48 hours remaining and the Blues still have a number of players they are looking to move on before Monday’s deadline day.
Chelsea have finally sold Cesare Casadei to Torino, but they are still searching for solutions for Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell and Axel Disasi.
Chukwuemeka arrived at Chelsea in the summer of 2022 for £20m from Aston Villa, but his time at Stamford Bridge has been plagued by injury.
The 21-year-old has shown glimpses of his talent when he has managed to play, but he’s fallen out of favour under Enzo Maresca and started just one game this season against Astana in the Conference League.
Chukwuemeka has attracted interested from clubs around Europe including Borussia Dortmund and Juventus, but an exit is yet to materialise.

However, Dortmund submitted their first official offer for the midfielder on Saturday, but it was rejected and Romano has now provided an update on the situation.
“Chelsea are not accepting any bid for Carney Chukwuemeka with an option to buy,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“They are considering his pathway, salary coverage, loan fee, playing time, etc. Chelsea trusts Carney for the future.”
Chelsea have insisted they want Chukwuemeka’s full £40m release clause, and a good six months out on loan would likely see a club activate that in the summer.

You can understand why the Blues wouldn’t want to accept an option to buy, because if he does well then another team has the chance to sign a good player below market value.
The most important thing here is that Chelsea get Chukwuemeka out playing, because if a deal doesn’t get agreed it’s a lose lose situation for all parties involved.
