FC Barcelona lost one of their key players, Dani Olmo, to an injury last night during their 3-0 win over CA Osasuna at Montjuic.

The Spanish midfielder scored the team’s second goal on the night from the penalty spot but was taken off soon after due to a physical problem.

Now, the Blaugrana have officially confirmed that Olmo has sustained an adductor injury and is set to be out for a period of around three weeks.

“Tests conducted this morning have confirmed that first-team player Dani Olmo has a right adductor injury. He is expected to be out for around three weeks,” the club statement read.

It has been a difficult debut season for Olmo at Barcelona due to not only his registration issues but also recurring fitness problems.

The 26-year-old has already has had two injuries this season prior to his latest setback, leading to him missing more than ten matches.

With his most recent injury ruling him out for around three weeks, Olmo is set to miss at least five or six matches more, including the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg vs Atletico Madrid as well as the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals vs Borussia Dortmund.
