Official: Barcelona name strong starting XI to face Villarreal | OneFootball

The XI of players called upon by the coaching staff at La Liga giants Barcelona for their upcoming meeting with Villarreal has been unveiled online.

And it may come as something of a surprise to hear of little rotation being made by boss Hansi Flick.

Barcelona are of course primed to return to action in short order.

With their status as Spanish champions for the season now secure following a 2-0 victory over Espanyol in midweek, the Blaugrana have welcomed the aforementioned Villarreal to Catalunya’s capital.

As alluded to above, though, this has not stopped Hansi Flick from naming a near full-strength line-up.

The likes of Pedri, Raphinha, Lamine Yamal and Robert Lewandowski will all be in from the off to take on Villarreal at Montjuïc.

Stepping back in between the posts, meanwhile, is Marc-André ter Stegen, with starting berths also afforded to the likes of Gavi and Fermín López.
