Rennes loanee Arthur Theate (24) has signed a long-term deal with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, the Bundesliga side has announced. The Belgian international centre-back joined Dino Toppmöller’s side last summer over a loan with a €16m option to buy. Eintracht decided to trigger the clause, tying Theate to a long-term deal until June 2029.
Theate established himself as a regular starter for Eintracht. He has started all but one of the Adlers’ fixtures in the Bundesliga. Eintracht Frankfurt Markus Krösche said he was delighted Theate decided to stay in Frankfurt for the long term. “Since his arrival, Arthur has shown what great potential he has. His will to win and professional attitude make him an important player for us, both on and off the pitch.“
