Last night was one of our best if not the best performance of the season so far and given how well the team has been playing since the games in the United States, that is saying something. Yesterday was rather special.

Despite the shocking decision to disallow our first goal just because Auston Trusty had the nerve to be stronger than his opponent, we didn’t dwell on it and blew St Johnstone away with a phenomenal show of football. We await Willie Collum’s VAR review show explaining why the goal was disallowed by theRangers fan on VAR .

Each and every single goal was superb – all seven of them – and it was genuinely hard to pick the best one, although I have to say that Adam Idah’s finish from a brilliant passage of play and a superb lay off from Alex Valle is my personal favourite.

Kyogo looked lively and registered a brace as he bagged his first away goals in nearly a year. Callum McGregor kept up his good record of scoring outside the box this season when he hit the fourth.

Paulo Bernardo who scored our second with a fine effort, also registered an assist as he provided Daizen Maeda to score the fifth, and Adam Idah of course rounded the scoring off with a finely crafted team goal, despite the officials best attempts to chalk it off.

We could have score more with Luke McCowan unluckily denied by the post and the keeper in quick succession in the closing minutes, but the game was well won and we couldn’t have any complaints. This was Celtic at their wonderful best, and we really have been treated to some great football this season, with more yet to come.

This sets us up nicely for our trip to Germany on Tuesday. Yes, Dortmund will be a much more formidable opponent, but we can head there in high in confidence especially with the way we’ve been playing this season. Wherever we go we fear no foe…COYBIG!
