Rasmus Kristensen, currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt from Leeds United, is set to permanently join the German team. Eintracht and Leeds have agreed to the terms of the purchase option, and it is soon to be officially finalised, according to Sky Germany.

Sky's Florian Plettenberg has reported that Eintracht originally needed to pay a fee in the range of €10-12 million to purchase the rights to Kristensen's contract. However, negotiations went well, and Eintracht's board member for sport, Markus Krösche, was able to reduce that fee by half, to €6 million.

There are conditional terms in the contract, meaning that if either Eintracht or Kristensen meet these terms, the fee then increases to €8 million.

Eintracht and Leeds have been in talks about reducing Kristensen's purchase fee since November, when Bild reported that Dino Toppmöller's side wanted to sign him permanently but were not willing to pay the fee that came with it at that time.

The contract is set to last until the end of the 2028/29 season, although it will be a few days before Eintracht officially announces the signing to the media.

The 27-year-old Danish international right-back has made 21 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt in this Bundesliga season.
