AC Milan winger Rafael Leao is fit enough for the bench in this evening’s Supercoppa Italiana final against Inter Milan.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
AC Milan coach Sergio Conceicao is getting ready to take charge of just his second match as Rossoneri coach.
The 50-year-old replaced Paulo Fonseca on the Milan bench less than a week ago.
Conceicao’s first match as a Supercoppa semifinal against Juventus. The Rossoneri came back from a goal down to win that match and book their place in the final.
And the final should be an even sterner test for Milan and their new coach.
Naturally, Conceicao will hope to have some key players back for this evening’s final.
According to the Gazzetta, former Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is back. He’ll be available on the bench.
And the same is true of winger Leao.
The Portuguese international is certainly a talismanic figure for Milan. However, he’s been out for a couple weeks with a muscle injury.
That has been especially damaging for Milan considering some other wingers absent through injury.
However, Leao will be back in the squad this evening, albeit only on the bench.
Meanwhile, the Gazzetta report, defender Matteo Gabbia could be back after suffering from a fever.
