Manchester United’s Radek Vitek and Dan Gore were both in action yesterday for their respective loan sides.
Vitek was in great form, helping his FC Blau-Weiß Linz side to a clean sheet in a 0-0 draw versus Rapid Wien.
The Czech keeper was given a rating of 8.4 on Sofascore and made an impressive six saves during the match.
All six of his stops came from inside the box as he helped keep the Rapid attack at bay.
He also kept his box clear by making one successful high claim and one punched clearance.
Once again, he was poor in his kicking, only making 48% of his passes. What’s more, his long kicking was also subpar, as he could only connect with four out of 13 long ball attempts.
Nonetheless, it was Vitek’s first clean sheet since the 9th February against LASK Linz, so he will be delighted with this.
He will next be in action on Sunday when his team host second-placed SK Strum Graz.
Dan Gore also made his much anticipated return to senior action for Rotherham United.
The United youngster has been not played since the start of February but he made just his second appearance for The Millers.
He played the final 23 minutes of Rotherham’s 1-1 draw with Stevenage.
The 20 year old only managed six passing attempts but did connect with five of them.
Gore also failed to have any shots on goal and he was unsuccessful with his only dribble attempt during the game.
He was strong in the air though, winning four out of five aerial duels and won one ground battle out of three attempts.
Sadly for Gore, he only has one match left of his spell at Rotherham, when they will welcome Peterborough to the New York Stadium on Saturday.
