Manchester United have loaned out two high-profile players over the last few months.

Jadon Sancho was sent to Chelsea on loan last summer.

The loan deal comes with an obligation to buy if Chelsea finish among the first 14 position in Premier League table.

With the Blues currently chasing a spot in the top four and looking likely to secure a position in the top 15, United stand to pocket a £20 million transfer fee.

Marcus Rashford has headed for the exit door to Aston Villa recently.

He will spend the remainder of the 2024/25 season with the Villans.

The 27-year-old posted a picture on his Instagram after making his debut for the new club.

Sancho took a dig at United by replying ‘Freedom’ to his post.

His antics drew anger from the club’s supporters.

The Daily Mail report that ‘Rashford wants to stay on good terms with the club and supporters, does not appreciate being dragged into Sancho’s tensions with United’.

Unai Emery’s side have the option to make Rashford’s move permanent for £40m in the summer.

The former United academy starlet is much more popular in the fanbase as compared to Sancho.

The club splashed a huge fee to sign the latter from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.

The winger never quite lived up to expectations at Old Trafford.

Even with former head coach Erik ten Hag offering him a mid-season break to focus on his mental and physical well-being, Sancho failed to justify the faith placed in him.

As a result, there is little chance he will be met with a warm reception when he inevitably returns to Old Trafford as an opposition player.

Rashford must not follow in Sancho’s footsteps.

He remains the poster child of what can happen when a talented youth player rises through the ranks and becomes a successful professional at the top level.
