Real Madrid planning sporting project around Kylian Mbappé rather than Vinicius Jr | OneFootball

According to Cadena SER, Real Madrid are planning their sporting project around Kylian Mbappé (25) rather than Vinicius Jr as they look to integrate the France captain after a difficult start to life in the Spanish capital.

The 25-year-old hasn’t had the desired start with the Champions League winners. Largely playing as a centre forward, the Los Merengues attack has looked rather disjointed since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain in the summer transfer window. Mbappé’s entourage are worried about the current situation and fear his career could stall at the La Liga outfit should he continue to play as a striker.

However a recent report from SPORT, indicates that Real Madrid would be willing to prioritise the former Monaco attacker over Vinicius Jr and play him on the left wing. Ancelotti is currently trying to balance playing both the forwards but Florentino Perez could be willing to intervene in order to give the France international what he desires.

The Spanish publication understands that the La Liga club are concerned that the two forwards are unable to develop an understanding with one another before a difficult decision has to be taken.
