Real Madrid star will play his final match for the club this weekend | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is set to take to the pitch in the club’s colours for the very last time this weekend.

That’s according to Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic, who points towards Jesús Vallejo as the player in question.

Stopper Vallejo, for his part, is due to see his contract terms in Spain’s capital expire this summer.

Not part of the plans of the incoming Xabi Alonso, the 28-year-old will be allowed to depart as a free agent, before seeking out a new club for next season.

Unlike some of the other members of Real Madrid’s squad whose terms are due to run out in 2025, Vallejo will not be afforded a place in Los Merengues’ squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.

This means that the central defender, on the books at the Santiago Bernabéu for the last 10 years, will play his very last game for Real Madrid this coming Saturday, against Real Sociedad.
