A member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has seen his planned starting berth in the club’s next outing thrown firmly up in the air.
This comes owing to developments at Valdebebas on Monday.
Los Blancos are of course primed to return to action later today, in a La Liga meeting with Deportivo Alavés.
Yesterday afternoon, Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, in turn, were put through their final preparatory training session, with sights set on a 5th successive victory across all competitions.
The understanding is that, in efforts towards as much, summer arrival Endrick was set to be rewarded for his stellar recent efforts off the bench, by way of a first-ever starting berth in Real Madrid’s colours.
This plan, however, was on Monday thrown firmly up in the air.
As per a report from Radio Marca:
‘Ancelotti wanted to give Mbappé a rest and for Endrick to play his first game as a starter. [But] the Brazilian received a blow in training and his starting position is up in the air.’
The call on just who spearheads the Spanish champions’ attack against Alavés will therefore be a game-time one.
