According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid’s summer transfer plans are beginning to take shape, with three key names on their radar: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Martin Zubimendi, and Dean Huijsen.
While the Liverpool right-back is close to securing a move on a free transfer, Madrid are also targeting reinforcements in midfield and central defence.
Real Madrid are firmly on track to sign Alexander-Arnold once his contract with Liverpool expires. The Englishman is expected to sign a five-year deal, bringing his attacking prowess and passing range to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.
With Alexander-Arnold’s arrival almost certain, Real Madrid’s next target is Zubimendi.
The 26-year-old Real Sociedad midfielder has been on the club’s radar for some time, and they are reportedly willing to activate his €60 million release clause.
Zubimendi has also attracted interest from several top European clubs, but Madrid appear to be leading the race for his signature.

The Spaniard’s composure, tactical intelligence, and ability to dictate play make him an ideal long-term replacement for the ageing Luka Modric.
However, with competition for his signature expected to be fierce, Madrid may have to act quickly to finalise the deal.
Huijsen, the 19-year-old centre-back, is another player Madrid are keeping a close eye on. His potential price tag is estimated at €50 million, but Madrid are unwilling to engage in a bidding war for his services.
Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, and even Barcelona have also shown interest in Huijsen. Despite the competition, the young defender is reportedly keen on a move to the Spanish capital.
However, with Antonio Rudiger, David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Raul Asencio already in the squad, Madrid are not rushing into a decision. His arrival could depend on whether any of the current defenders leave this summer.
